High profile off-season recruit Josh Morris will now have an opportunity to play his first game in Sharks colours at his new home base on Saturday night with the trial against the Manly Sea Eagles transferred to Shark Park.
Originally scheduled for Brookvale Oval, the trial moves to the Shire, in a match set to feature Morris partnering young gun Bronson Xerri in the centres, alongside a mix of established stars and up and coming newcomers.
The day will start at 3.05pm with a Jersey Flegg trial matching the previous two under-20’s premiers in the Sea Eagles and the 2018 champions the Sharks, before an ISP clash scheduled for 5.05pm featuring the Newtown Jets and Blacktown Workers Sea Eagles.
The NRL trial will follow, kicking off at 7.30pm.
While team lists are yet to be submitted, it is expected both Clubs will field strong line ups in the main trial, with the start of the 2019 NRL season now less than a month away.
The entry fee on the night for adults will be a gold coin donation, with proceeds going to the Cronulla Sharks community arm Sharks Have Heart. Children will be admitted free of charge.
Food and beverages will be available on the day, however bars in the stadium will not open. The Summertime Bar inside Sharks Leagues Club will open and normal bistro service will operate.
The Sharks will release a team list prior to the game on the weekend.
