The Jets leading try scorer in the Intrust Super Premiership in 2018, Will Kennedy made a seamless transition from under 20's to open age rugby league in what was an outstanding year for the young fullback.

Originally from Bathurst and the St Pats Bathurst club, the son of former Tigers stalwart Bubba Kennedy, with a sharp turn of speed and clever ball skills, Kennedy has all the attributes to continue his progression and to forge a successful NRL career – with a bit of luck starting in 2019 at the Cronulla Sharks.

A member of the premiership-winning SG Ball team back in 2015, Kennedy has graduated through the ranks, to the NYC, then the Intrust Super Premiership, with an NRL debut the next step in the journey for this talented number one.

While well-stocked in his position, with the departure of Valentine Holmes, Kennedy well and truly comes into the equation as an option to fill the vacant fullback role and he will be keen to push his claims during what promises to be an arduous summer training period.

In the second instalment in the Sharks 'Under the Surface' series, we ask Kennedy a few hard questions, but mainly we have a bit of fun as we get to know your 2019 Sharks NRL squad.
