2018 Player Review - Ricky Leutele

After 10 seasons at the Cronulla Sharks, the ever consistent Ricky Leutele has played his final game in the black, white and blue.

With his power-running and strong defence, Leutele has been a mainstay in the Sharks backline.

Over the years he's formed a lethal left-edge combination with Sosaia Feki, and in 2018 with the likes of Moylan and Graham manning that side, the Sharks centre was once again on the end of plenty of attacking power.

An underrated player, but someone very highly valued within the Sharks playing group, Leutele appeared in 25 matches this season, running for over 2967 metres.

It's been an incredible ride at the Sharks for Leutele, coming to Cronulla in 2008 as a raw teenager fresh out of high school.

He will leave immortalised in club history, having made 'that tackle' in the 2016 Premiership win.

While he was injured in the final home game of 2018, Ricky and family still got an emotional send off in front of the Sharks faithful

2019 - What's ahead

Ricky has signed a three year deal with the Toronto Wolfpack's. We wish Ricky his wife Charmaine and three children Brooklyn, Darci and Rieko all the very best in their move overseas.
