Late Mail - Preliminary Final

As had been widely tipped, international front rower Aaron Woods will move into the Sharks starting side tonight for their Preliminary Finals clash with the Melbourne Storm.

Woods replaced the injured Paul Gallen, with the Sharks skipper failing in his bid to be fit for the game after suffering a shoulder injury in the win over the Panthers last weekend.

The Sharks are now set to start with Woods, Matt Prior and Andrew Fifita as their middle forwards.

Joseph Paulo comes into the Cronulla side on the interchange bench in what will be his first appearance in the 2018 NRL Finals series.

In the backs, Sharks coach Shane Flanagan has opted to go with the same wing-centre combination that got the job done in the elimination match last Friday night.

Sosaia Feki and Ricky Leutele will play on the Sharks left, Jesse Ramien and Edrick Lee on the right.

Josh Dugan will be 18th man, with the shoulder injury which has kept him sidelined the past two weeks seeing Flanagan opt for the players in form and fully fit.

Kyle Flanagan has also been omitted from the Sharks 19-man squad.

The Sharks play the Storm for a place in the NRL Grand Final. The match kicks off at 7.50pm.
