ISP Grand Final Team List - Jets v Bulldogs

They were forced to defend their line on the final play of the game, but when the Newtown Jets managed to hold up the Panthers attacker they had booked a place in the Intrust Super Premiership Grand Final.

It was a heart-stopping finish to an exciting ISP preliminary final, with the Jets now moving on to play the Canterbury Bulldogs in the competition decider on Sunday.

In the win over the Panthers backrower Briton Nikora was outstanding, scoring two second half tries to lift his team, while the composure of halves Kyle Flanagan and Jack Williams, along with hooker Blayke Brailey helped get the Jets in the crucial moments.

More of the same will be required against a Bulldogs team which beat the Dragons to move into the ISP Grand Final.

Big front rower Braden Uele, who played his first game after a long stint on the sidelines should be better for the run, while after being knocked out in the Panthers game Kurt Dillon will need to pass the concussion protocols during the week if he is to take his place in the Jets side.

Dillon had a light training run on Tuesday morning and was expected to be cleared to play.

The Newtown v Bulldogs Grand Final is scheduled for a 3.10pm kick off at Leichhardt Oval on Sunday, with the match to be shown live on Channel 9 for those fans unable to get to the ground.

The Sharks play the Panthers in the Jersey Flegg Grand Final, with that match to be played immediately preceding the ISP match.
