Sharks (and a Jet) still swimming in September

It was a big weekend all round, with three Sharks, including a Jet, still swimming into September.
The NRL Sharks got the ball rolling with a heart-stopping 21-20 victory over the Panthers on Friday night to book their place in the Preliminary Final, before handing the baton on to their intrust Super Premiership and Jersey Flegg teams.

And both managed to deliver, with the Newtown Jets, the Sharks partner club in the ISP, defending their line in the closing moments to secure a four-point win over the Penrith, before the under-20's Flegg boys held on to defeat Mounties by a similar margin.

The two teams will now play in their respective Grand Finals, the Jets against the Bulldogs, the Flegg Sharks tackling the Panthers.

The games will be contested back to back at Leichhardt Oval on Sunday, with the Flegg Grand Final kicking off at 12.45pm, followed by the ISP game at 3.10pm.

As for the Sharks, they will travel on Thursday before taking on the Storm at AAMI Park on Friday, with the winner progressing to the Grand Final and a shot at the 2018 NRL title.

It's been a big year and will be a huge weekend for all concerned, with all Sharks teams still afloat and swimming towards September glory.
