Following a loss in week one of the finals, the Sharks face the Bulldogs this weekend in an elimination game to be played at Kogarah Oval on Sunday.
The Sharks couldn't overcome a poor first half performance in a loss to the Panthers last Saturday, however they have a second bite this weekend against a Bulldogs team that scored a narrow win over the Parramatta Eels to progress to week two of the Flegg finals.
Trailing 18-4 at half time, the Sharks had their chances in the Penrith game, only to come up short, although in looking for a positive they managed to keep a dangerous attacking outfit in the Panthers scoreless in the second period.
The Sharks have limited the changes, Josh Carr named to return, with coach Dave Howlett mixing up his interchange bench in search of the right formula for the Bulldogs match.
The elimination final against the Bulldogs is scheduled for a 5.30pm kick off on Sunday at Kogarah Jubilee Oval.
In the other Flegg match this weekend, the Newcastle Knights play the Sydney Roosters in a game to be played at Kogarah Jubilee on Saturday. Kick off to that game is at 5.15pm.
The Panthers and Mounties won through last week to the Grand Final qualifying round.
