Four young Sharks have been chosen to represent the NSW Under 16's Pathways squad in a match against the Under-16 Pasifika side, scheduled to be played at Belmore Sports Ground on Saturday (28 July).
Sharks Matthews Cup Cpatain Billy Burke, halfback Kade Dykes, lock/utility Blake Hosking and backrower Kitione Kautoga have all been included in the 21-man NSW squad.
The NSW-Pasifika clash will be the first meeting between the two sides, with the match-up giving more emerging players the opportunity to represent their state and heritage.
NSW will be looking to build upon their Under-16 Origin win over Queensland at Brisbane's Suncorp Stadium on 15 July with the 28-14 win being a third-straight victory for the Blues in the annual interstate fixture.
The four Sharks after completing Matthews Cup commitments earlier in the year then returned to club football while also training on as a part of the Sharks Elite Academy squad.
The NSW 16's team be coached by Scott Jones, with his assistant by NSW True Blue and former Sharks NRL squad member Phil Bailey.
