A spirited victory over the Eels last Friday night will have the Jersey Flegg Sharks in the right frame of mind for what shapes as a test of the premiership credentials on Sunday when they tackle on the Penrith Panthers.
The match will see the second-placed Panthers play the third-placed Sharks, with both sides coming off solid last-start victories, Penrith over ladder-leading Newcastle and the Sharks in a tight one against the finals bound Parramatta.
In blustery conditions, the Sharks scored late to sneak away with the points over the Eels, halfback Jayden Millard scoring a long range try in the dying moments after some excellent lead-up work from skipper Teig Wilton and lock James Roumanos.
Props Cruz Topai-Aveai and Monty Raper were also strong for the Sharks and they will need to again bring their best this weekend against the classy Panthers outfit.
Sharks coach Dave Howlett has named the same starting side from the Parramatta game last weekend, with the only change being Luke Jurd in jersey 14 after young hooker Isaac Longmuir was the bench utility on Friday night.
The match will be played at Henson Park, with kick off at 12.45pm.
An Intrust Super Premiership match between the Jets and Panthers will follow at 3.00pm.
