The Shire Sports Show – July 3, 2018

The Shire Sports Show, a weekly video podcast which is a joint venture between the Cronulla Sharks and the St George and Sutherland Shire Leader newspaper, takes a look at all the latest happenings in local sport.

Hosted by Sharks Media Manager Rob Willis and Leader Sports Editor Andrew Parkinson, the Shire Sports Show goes live to air every Tuesday at 4.00pm via the Sharks and Leader Facebook pages, with full replays later available on both websites.

While covering off on the just completed or upcoming Sharks game, the Shire Sports Show is more about local teams, sporting organisations and individuals, with Parkinson and Willis previewing and discussing some of the stories that make the pages of The Leader newspaper each and every week.

In the July 3 episode of the Shire Sports Show, the pair debated a range of topics, including soccer in the Shire, the recent success of the Sutherland Hockey team, the Southern Districts Rebels and their upcoming games in rugby's Shute Shield, as well as a visit by Swans legend Adam Goodes to a local school.

The Shire Sports Show also interviewed Sutherland 2 Surf organisers Gay Curtis and Mick Brannock in previewing of the big community fun run which is scheduled to take place on July 22.

In addition, the boys talked about the Sharks signing of Aaron Woods, the win over the Warriors last weekend and the final game of the State of Origin series which is due to take place next Wednesday.
