Sharks star Valentine Holmes has been named in the Queensland Origin side for game two of the series.
Holmes, who has been in outstanding form for the Sharks in the fullback role, is likely to again play on the wing for the Maroons, outside of Queensland skipper Greg Inglis, with young gun Kalyn Ponga to make his Origin debut pending the fitness of Storm fullback Billy Slater.
Down one-nil, the Maroons will be desperate to even up the series and set up a game three decider at Suncorp Stadium.
After withdrawing from Game One due to a hamstring concern, Slater has been named, along with Ponga and Tim Glasby who were both part of the Maroons' extended squad for the match in Melbourne.
The Queensland Rugby League announced an 18-man Maroons squad ahead, with Coach Kevin Walters to consult with his players and medical staff before settling on the final line-up this week.
Anthony Milford, a late Game One inclusion following Slater's withdrawal, has missed selection.
Michael Morgan is unavailable due to injury.
