Daniel Vasquez began his footballing journey at St Joseph’s, migrated down the road to the Yarrawarrah Tigers, before becoming a ‘junior’ Shark after being identified as a youngster with promise.

Now some six-seven years after entering the Sharks system, the young front rower is being given every chance to deliver on that potential as a member of the fulltime NRL training group this summer.

A NSW junior Origin player, an Australian Schoolboy and a member of the Sharks State and National champion SG Ball side in 2015, Vasquez comes in with an impressive junior resume, with his graduation to senior football and earning success at the next level, the challenge that lies ahead.

Sharks TV caught up with Vasquez following a morning field session at the Sharks Academy fields.

Get to know some of the young talent coming through the Sharks ranks and see what Vasquez had to say in the latest instalment of our Young Guns series.
