At 186cm and close to 120kgs, while Eddie Faalua has some work to do, he has the big body and raw ability to challenge for an NRL spot sometime down the track.

Born in Newcastle, then played his junior footy at Kingsgrove and in the Dragons junior system, Faalua found a home at the Sharks in 2016 and in his two seasons in the Shire went from part time bench player to an important member of the Holden Cup forward pack.

Can play lock and front row, Faalua runs hard, is difficult to stop once he gets up a head of steam and with a pre-season alongside the NRL stars under his belt, has his best football still in front of him.

Another in our Young Guns series, Faalua talks about the summer, his goals and what he hopes the 2018 season will bring, with his interview now playing on Sharks TV.
