Sharks spreading some Christmas cheer
It was a Sharks Christmas Blitz, with the entire NRL training squad splitting up into four groups to spread some Christmas cheer heading into the festive season. The players visited the Children’s and Maternity wards at Sutherland Hospital and the Sydney Children’s Hospital at Randwick, while two more groups visited Civic Disability Services at Caringbah and the Sylvanvale Pre-School. The players posed for photos and signed autographs, interacting with the kids, their parents, caregivers and hospital staff in helping to put smiles on the faces of all they came into contact with. The presents handed out were donated through the Sharks Christmas toy drive, while Westfield also chipped in and provided a few bags of ‘goodies’ for the boys to distribute at Sutherland. The Sharks Christmas blitz was a part of the clubs ongoing efforts to interact with the community and to enhance the lives of those less fortunate.
