He ran hard and ran often on the right edge for the NYC Sharks in 2017, with Briton Nikora key to the success of the Sharks NYC team last season.

A player with impressive leg-speed, Nikora was took on and often came out on top of against bigger opposition forwards, his form catching the eye and earning the New Zealand-born second rower selection in the Junior Kiwi side for their mid-year Tests Match against Australia.

After playing his junior football on the Gold Coast, Nikora moved to the Sharks in 2016 and has made every post a winner since, with his promotion to the NRL squad this year hardly surprising given his efforts last year.

More comfortable with a ball in his hands rather than a microphone under his nose, Nikora still managed to give Sharks TV some time in telling the story of his rugby league journey, his hopes and aspirations for the future and how he is enjoying training with the big boys during this NRL pre-season.

See what Nikora had to say, with his interview, the third instalment in the ‘Young Guns’ series, now playing on Sharks TV.
