The 2018 NRL Draw is officially here!
There is a good mix of rivalry matches, family friendly events and weekend party nights on offer for Sharks Members and fans both home and away.
Our season will open when we take on the North Queensland Cowboys at 1300 Smiles Stadium, Townsville on Friday, March 9 at 7:50pm.
Up next, it’s the big one. The St George Illawarra Dragons on Thursday, March 15 at 7:50pm right here at Southern Cross Group Stadium.
Always one of the fiercest contests on the NRL calendar, the Round 2 clash will be no different, pitching mate against mate in this local rivalry.
Our next home game doesn’t get any easier when we take on another close rival and now reigning Premiers, the Melbourne Storm at 7:50pm on Friday, March 30.
From here, a run against five consecutive Sydney clubs begins as we take on the Sydney Roosters, Penrith Panthers, Parramatta Eels, Canterbury Bulldogs and finally the Wests Tigers in a range of different timeslots.
The end of the seasons sees clashes against the Brisbane Broncos, Canberra Raiders, rivals Manly Sea Eagles, the North Queensland Cowboys which will no doubt be an emotional contest and the Newcastle Knights, who will round out the home games on 2018.
The Club has been afforded a good cross-section of timeslots, with everyone set to benefit from the wide-range of available games.
From a footballing perspective, there is a good number of ‘turnaround’ days between most matches too so the players themselves will be afforded the best possible rest and recovery heading into their upcoming matches.
Stay tuned for further updates regarding to the 2018 NRL Draw.
