Chris Heighington has today confirmed that he will depart our Club after five tremendous seasons with us.
Heighington, who played 116 games in the black, white and blue was an integral member of the Sharks’ premiership winning side in 2016 and has made a terrific contribution to our Club on and off the field over the past five years.
In 2017, Heighington joined an exclusive Club when he played his 300th NRL game, becoming at that time, only the 26th player to reach the milestone in the game’s history and he has again been selected to represent England in the upcoming World Cup.
Always a charismatic contributor around the Club, ‘Heighno’ as he is affectionately known will be missed by team mates, staff, Members and fans alike who came to love the energetic boy from the Central Coast.
Our Club warmly acknowledges the role that Chris has played in our Club and sincerely wish him, wife Sonya and two children Rocco and Billie all the best in their future endeavours.
