Following a loss to the Parramatta Eels in week one of the finals, the NYC Sharks now face a sudden-death semi final against the Manly Sea Eagles on Saturday.

The young Sharks went down 35-22 to the Eels at Allianz Stadium last Sunday, the loss also coming at a cost, with Junior Kiwi backrower and Holden Cup Team of the Year selection Briton Nikora unavailable due to suspension.

Nikora has taken the early guilty plea on a grade two dangerous throw charge, meaning he will miss two matches.

However on a positive note, the Sharks have again included team captain Jack Williams in their 23-man squad, with the half-five eighth set to be a steadying influence should he get the all clear to play on Saturday.

Williams has been out of action for an extended period with a hamstring problem.

The Sharks have named a squad of 23, which will be trimmed to 20 in the 24 hours before kick-off.

The NYC Sharks v Manly match is scheduled for a 5.00pm start on Saturday at ANZ Stadium as the curtain-raiser to the Cowboys and Eels NRL clash.
