Two losses to finish the regular season may not have been the perfect way to go into a finals campaign, however the NYC Sharks had shown enough over the previous 24 weeks to suggest they are still the team to beat for the Holden Cup title in 2017.

Crowned minor premiers several weeks ago, the NYC Sharks finished seven points clear at the top of the competition table, but that will count for little on Sunday when they tackle one of only a handful of teams to have beaten them this season.

The Sharks play an Eels team which beat them way back in round four, with the winner of this return bout to progress to week three of the finals, the loser to face a sudden-death match in week two.

Sharks coach John Morris welcomes centre Jesse Ramien back into his 23-man squad following his impressive NRL debut last week, while the name of team captain Jack Williams has been added to the reserves bench.

Williams has been absent for an extended period with a leg injury.

The Sharks v Eels NYC match is scheduled to kick off at 1.30pm at Allianz Stadium as the curtain-raiser to the Sharks-Cowboys NRL clash.

Buses will transport fans to Allianz Stadium from Sharks Leagues Club in time for kick-off to the 20’s match. For bookings or for further information CLICK HERE.
