A 12th consecutive win, coupled with a loss suffered by the second-placed Dragons, now has the NYC Sharks seven-points clear at the top of the competition table as they push full-steam ahead for the minor premiership and the number one seed in the Holden Cup Finals.
The Sharks were tradesmen-like in a 40-4 triumph over the Warriors at their last start and this weekend face a Raiders team which is currently 10th and desperate for a win to keep alive any finals hopes they may have.
The last time the two teams met the Sharks scored a comprehensive 74-12 win back in round 2 but will be expecting a more committed opposition this time around with the Raiders capable on their day as shown by an upset defeat of the Dragons three weeks ago.
Sharks NYC Coach John Morris has named the same 17 which took the field against the Warriors, with one interesting name added to his 23-man squad list. Teig Wilton, recently awarded the Sharks Junior Rep player of the year after also being selected in the Australian Schoolboys squad, has been chosen in jersey 21 on an extended reserves bench.
