Pam Dean is a woman who lives and breaths Rugby League in the Shire and epitomises what the game means in our area.
For her ongoing contribution to the game here in the Sutherland Shire, Pam has been nominated for the 2017 Women in League Award.
It was her two sons who would first bring Pam into the Shire rugby league family where she joined the Cronulla-Caringbah Sharks as a club Member in 2001.
Pam continued to show her passion between 2001-2004 as she became a club member on the committee before opting to move into a more senior role as the Assistant Secretary/School Liaison and Sponsorship Officer from 2005 to the current day.
After 13 years of involvement with Cronulla-Caringbah, Pam was awarded life membership to the Club.
It is not these accolades though which kept Pam involved.
Without fail, Pam is present at the club house every Saturday and Sunday of the JRL season, often seen cooking the BBQ or working behind the canteen to support her beloved Cronulla-Caringbah.
On top of this, Pam has been a huge part of the Sharks Junior League and her countless hours invested into the competition cannot be replaced neither at the Sharks club or within the Shire.
For this continued service to the game in our area, our Club will be inviting Pam to tomorrow night’s match against the South Sydney Rabbitohs in the Ultimate Upgrade Experience and recognise her contribution to the game.
On behalf of everyone involved in the game in the Sutherland Shire, Pam we thank you for your on-going support of Rugby League in our area.
We look forward to seeing you tomorrow night!
