Following a solid debut in game two and perhaps his most enterprising attacking performance of the year for the Sharks last Saturday, Valentine Holmes has again been included in the Queensland team for the series decider on Wednesday week.

Holmes scored a try in his first Origin outing in the Queensland win over NSW, a victory which levelled the series, with Maroons coach Kevin Walters and his selection panel retaining the Sharks speedster for the match at Suncorp Stadium on July 19.

While sticking with the bulk of the team which gallantly fought back to even the ledger in game two, Walters was forced into two changes due to injuries suffered in the game at ANZ Stadium.

Johnathan Thurston has undergone shoulder surgery and will miss the match, while Darius Boyd broke a thumb in the win and is also unavailable.

In their place the Queenslanders have opted for the Storm’s Cameron Munster and the versatile Michael Morgan, with the positions the pair will play to be revealed later.
