Sharks secure new premium audio-visual partner Bang & Olufsen

Our Club is proud to announce a new commercial partnership with premium audio-visual brand Bang & Olufsen.

Founded in Denmark in 1925 and operated in Australia by luxury brand retailer Emerald Group Investments, Bang & Olufsen will become the Sharks Official Premium Audio-Visual Partner until the end of the 2019 season. 

The partnership, which is both the Club’s and the NRL’s first with a luxury brand, will begin this week when the Sharks run out on Saturday with the company branding proudly displayed on the top-back of the Club’s NRL jerseys.

Sharks CEO Lyall Gorman was thrilled to welcome Bang & Olufsen into the Club’s corporate family. 

“We are very excited to be entering into a partnership with a luxury brand such as Bang & Olufsen who are a global leader in their field,” Mr Gorman said.

“Our Club prides itself on innovation and tradition, as do Bang & Olufsen who are an icon of performance and design excellence, making this partnership the perfect fit for our two organisations.

“We look forward to the next two years and know that this association will develop into a long, rewarding and mutually beneficial partnership,” Gorman added.

Brian Man, Managing Director for Bang & Olufsen in Australia and New Zealand, was also confident the partnership would connect the brand with new audiences.

“This is an excellent opportunity for Bang & Olufsen to engage with the Sharks members, fans and the wider NRL community,” Mr Man said.   

“Bang & Olufsen offers a distinctive and exclusive range of televisions, music systems, headphones and portable speakers that combine the very best in design and innovation; and our sponsorship with the Sharks will help us to reach new customers while bringing a new luxury brand alignment to the NRL.”

The Sharks-Bang & Olufsen partnership ‘officially’ gets underway at 3.00pm on Saturday when the Sharks take on the Roosters on the Central Coast.
