It was closer than many may have thought, with the table topping Sharks needing to pull out all stops to get the better of a determined Manly side last Sunday.
The Sea Eagles had an upset on their minds against the table-topping Sharks, with the 34-30 final score line an accurate indication of a game that went down to the last few minutes.
This week the young Sharks travel to Gosford to play a Roosters team battling to find their best form.
Traditionally amongst the leading teams in the NRL competition, the Roosters are languishing in 12th and needing a win over the Sharks to stay in touch with the top eight.
The Sharks v Roosters Holden Cup match will be the first of three games at Central Coast Stadium on Saturday, with kick-off at 10.45am.
