It may not have been the result he was looking for as the Sharks went down to the Storm, however there was still no taking away from the achievement of Chad Townsend reaching the milestone of 100 NRL games.

A local junior, Townsend came through the Sharks system before debuting in the NRL as a 20-year old back in 2011.

A couple of years at the Warriors and Townsend returned a more mature playmaker, with the former Yarrawarrah Tiger have a huge influence on the Sharks claiming their maiden premiership last year.

In recognition of his 100th game the Sharks put together a video tribute, as shown on the big screen on game night and now playing on Sharks TV.
