With the season now moving past the half way mark the Newtown Jets will be looking to start a push towards a finals berth when they travel to Cessnock to take on the Knights on Saturday.
Inconsistent and in a few instances, unlucky so far this year the Jets are clinging to eighth spot on the Intrust Super Premiership ladder and take on a Newcastle team equal on 11 competition points but one place behind Newtown on for-and-against.
With the Sharks NRL side approaching full strength due to the Origin reps returning to club football, the Jets will likely field a strong outfit on Saturday, one boasting plenty of NRL experience.
The Jets game against Newcastle is scheduled for a 3.00pm start at Cessnock Stadium on Saturday.
