Our Rugby Union neighbours the Southern Districts Rebels generously allowed the Sharks NRL squad the use of their field at Forshaw Rugby Park at Sylvania Waters during recent renovations to the surface of Southern Cross Group Stadium.
An outstanding facility, the boys appreciated the way Forshaw was presented and it allowed Shane Flanagan, his coaching staff and the NRL squad to get on with their business with barely a hitch.
Now the Sharks are returning the favour somewhat by encouraging footy fans looking for an alternative footy experience during the upcoming bye weekend, to get along to Forshaw and cheer on our local rugby counterparts in a big upcoming game against Parramatta.
And Southern Districts have come to the party by reducing entry costs for Sharks members from the usual $15 to just $5 for those showing their Sharks membership card.
The game is set down for Saturday, June 3, kick off to the Shute Shield First Grade game is at 3.00pm, with lower grades also taking place before the main event.
Bar and food/canteen facilities will be available on the day.
