Following their third win of the 2017 season the challenge for the NYC Sharks steps up a notch this weekend when they play the undefeated competition leaders the Melbourne Storm in a match to be played on the Sunshine Coast on Saturday.
With the Storm’s under 20’s playing the majority of their home matches away from Melbourne, the NYC clash is headed north rather than south with the Sharks getting their chance to knock over the competition leaders for the first time this season.
The young Sharks bounced back to winning form with a 32-22 triumph over the Knights last week and sit in sixth position after the opening five rounds of 2017.
With no major injury concerns the Sharks team is relatively unchanged from the one which played on Saturday, with John Morris naming a 23-man squad.
That group will be narrowed down to 20 in the 24 hours before kick-off, with 18 players set to travel to Queensland for the round six match up.
