A narrow first round win was followed up by a disappointing loss to Mounties last Sunday with the Jets experiencing an up and down start to the 2017 season.
With injuries during the game and withdrawals before it the Jets were always going to do it tough against Mounties last weekend however with a team bolstered by the inclusion of Tony Williams, Fa’amanu Brown, Jordan Drew and former Shark Penani Manumalealii, Newtown will be in a confident frame of mind heading in Saturday’s third round clash with Illawarra.
The match is scheduled for a 3.00pm kick off at WIN Stadium in Wollongong on Sunday.
