The Cronulla Sharks are proud to unveil our 2017 Cronulla Sharks Women’s Series jersey for the upcoming season.

Taking in the tradition design of the Cronulla Sharks kit, the Women’s apparel has partnered with the innovation and leadership of XBlades who have shown their strong support for the program by signing on as the official kit partner for 2017.

Group GM Engagement and Pathways at the Cronulla Sharks, Tim Thorne says the partnership was built on growing the game to be the best it could be.

“When we met with Leighton (XBlades) and asked if XBlades would believe in our vision for Women’s Rugby League in NRL Clubs he did not hesitate.” said Thorne.

“We both believe in innovation and excellence it was an immediate and resounding yes to support us in providing an inclusive pathway within our club.”

“We agreed that the greatest game of all can indeed become the greatest game FOR all and together we can truly make a difference.”

Head of Cronulla Sharks Women’s Football, Jason Stanton said that the partnership was great for the Club and its vision for the women’s game.

“We are so excited to have XBlades as a partner of our program,” said Stanton.

“From the launch of NSWRL’s Tarsha Gale competition, to the Interstate Cup and our Sharks Women’s Series leading into the Women’s World Cup, this is a massive year for the female pathway. We are building off the great work of NSWRL and NRL in the female space and look forward to supporting their pathway and to take NRL club support for them to another level”

It is the Sharks vision of supporting the Women’s game which has separated our NRL Club from the pack and made it an innovative program and one which is truly leading the way in the Women’s game. Developing player’s year round from u12s to Opens is the key development tool the Club will focus on.

By providing high profile women’s games alongside our male teams to develop our current and future Jillaroos and creating a wave of support for our Jillaroos team towards the Women’s World Cup, which will be held in November at Southern Cross Group Stadium.
