A total of 12 Sharks contracted players have been named to take the field for the Newtown Jets in a round one Intrust Super Premiership match against Blacktown Workers on Sunday.

With the NRL squad almost injury free, the Jets are set to be the beneficiaries, with a quality side selected to tackle Blacktown, a team new to the Intrust Super Premiership after partnering with the Manly Sea Eagles during the off-season.

Amongst those to turn out for the Jets include former NSW and Australian representative Tony Williams, experienced campaigners Joseph Paulo, Jeremy Latimore and Daniel Mortimer, along with talented youngsters Kurt Capewell, Jayden Walker and Jack Williams.

The Jets v Blacktown match is scheduled for a 3.00pm kick off on Sunday at HE Laybut Field
