Though the Derby fixture always proves a hotly-contested affair, the visitors will carry an added motivation this time around, in the hope of knocking off the defending NRL Premiers.
The Sharks and Dragons met twice last season, first in Round 2 as the Sharks ran in five unanswered tries to record an emphatic 30 points to 2 win over the ‘Red V’, in front of near-on 18,000 spectators.
The Dragons then went on to notch a win of their own against their bitter rivals when the sides squared off at Kogarah in Round 23.
The Round 3 Sharks versus Dragons clash is set down for a 6:30pm kick off on Sunday, March 19, with the match to be broadcast on Fox Sports.
The Sharks will travel across the bridge to face the Dragons in Round 10 of the 2017 season, for another instalment of the local derby set down for UOW Jubilee Oval in Kogarah.
