The Women’s NRL 9’s clash between the Sharks and Dragons, played at Southern Cross Group Stadium as the curtain-raiser to the NRL match against the Roosters recently, was an historic event as well as an outstanding advertisement for Women’s rugby league.

With two teams featuring some of the best female rugby league talent, the game went down to the wire, a spectacular try deciding the result.

The likes of Ruan Sims, Sam Bremner and Alana Ferguson were on show in Sharks colours, up against fellow Australian Jillaroos representative Kezzie Apps who was representing St George Illawarra.

The game had the large crowd on the day on their feet and applauding in appreciation of the skills on show, with similar matches planned for 2017.

While Sharks TV showed the match on live stream and through Channel 67, Fox Sports have gotten in on the act, added some commentary to the exciting game day vision and will show the match starting today.

Get yourself in front of a television or set the IQ for 2.30pm this afternoon (Friday) and re-live all the excitement of the inaugural Women’s 9’s.
