Cronulla Sharks Women's 9's player Sam Bremner has been awarded the 'Female Representative Player of the Year' at the Rugby League Player's Association on Tuesday night.

After her stand out representative 2016 season, the elusive fullback was voted the best player in all representative fixtures by her peers.

Bremner who played fullback for the NSW Women's historic victory over Queensland also featured in the Jillaroos side who played against the NZ Kiwi Ferns ealrier in the season.

The local product said on the night how proud she was to have won the award given that the award was voted on by her peers and those who she plays with and against.

The award caps off a great week for the Club in regards to Women's Rugby League following the announcement that the pool matches of th 2016 Women's Rugby League World Cup will be played at Southern Cross Group Stadium.
