After a disappointing result at their last start the NYC Sharks will look to keep both their season as well as their premiership aspirations alive when they travel to Canberra to play the Roosters in week two of the Holden Cup Finals.

The Sharks were highly competitive in the first half of their match with minor premiers the Panthers last weekend, only to succumb to a combination of too many errors and concerted Penrith pressure in the second period.

However despite the final scoreboard indicating a one-side contest, nothing could be further from the truth, with the young Sharks doing enough good things to have Coach John Morris positive of a turnaround this weekend.

For the match which will be played in Canberra as the curtain-raiser to the Raiders v Panthers NRL clash, Morris has named the same 17 who took to the field at Allianz last Sunday.

In his first game back from injury Jayden Walker had some good touches and should be better for the run, while young hooker Blayke Brailey added some spark when injected into the game and has been retained on the interchange bench.

The Sharks v Roosters match is set down for a 5.00pm kick-off at GIO Stadium.
