Sharks centre Gerard Beale says the side wasn't shaken by the late out of Paul Gallen - and then Wade Graham - as each knows their role in getting the team to a win.

Coming off the bench late on in last weekend's Qualifying Final versus Canberra, Beale slotted into the centre position - shifting regular right-edge Jack Bird into the halves.

"It was a big loss knowing that Gal wasn't going to run out with us," Beale said.

"But whoever filled his position, whoever is next in line, they're always going to do their job.

"Getting that win (vs Canberra) is good in the sense that we'll get Gal back when he's fresh, and ready for our next game."
