Cronulla Sharks Head Coach Shane Flanagan spoke of his side's resolute mindset ahead of tomorrow's Qualifying Final in Canberra.

He said he wasn't keeping the side's last clash in his head as Finals are a whole new competition.

“They were ready to go.

“They were playing good footy. They were intense and we probably weren’t at our best that night but as I said, we’ve learnt a bit from that.”

The Sharks will be out to atone for what wasn’t a disappointing display from Flanagan’s side however a preview of the type of football Club’s will play in this year’s Finals Series.

“I thought it was outstanding for us to go down there and play against a side like that that’ve got their act together and are playing some good footy.

“The way they play is what you need to do in semi finals so I thought we had our moments against the Storm and so we just need to capitalise on some of those opportunities that we’ve created and we just didn’t do that last week but we’ve work hard on that.
