It was tools down here at Southern Cross Group Stadium today as the NRL squad had a day away from training.

Having had two full days of field and weights prior, Shane Flanagan gave his side a rest ahead of tomorrow’s captain’s run and bus trip to Canberra.

The rest though was not for all though with Michael Ennis returning to the ground yesterday evening to give the De La Salle Under 8s team each a head gear as they head into the annual Tommy Bishop Shield this Sunday.

Although not yet announced, the match is on track to be a SELL OUT with tickets sales well moving along at a blistering pace.

Despite the match being played in Canberra, Sharks Members and fans have purchased tickets and will be sure to stand vocal against an energetic Canberra crowd.

The team is set to be put through their final paces in tomorrow’s Captain’s Run, with all players to be on deck for the hit out.
