As the Sharks took their place in Gosford for what was day one of a three-day camp, Joseph Paulo fronted the media to say that the time out of the Shire will hold the side in good stead, moving into the fast-approaching Finals series.

"Working on those little, small areas of our game ... Hopefully we can benefit from that as the finals roll in," Paulo said.

"It's going to be a tough game (vs Souths), obviously they had a great win against the Warriors, we know they have their (big, strong) forward pack.

"Hopefully we can provide a perfomance, and stamp ourselves as a (genuine premiership) team."

Paulo also spoke of the Sharks culture, and that of the confidence that the side has heading into the pointy end of the season, forged on the back of 15 consecutive wins through out the year.
