Ben Barba spoke with the media today ahead of Monday night's clash against the Rabbitohs and said his side will need to be at the best for the match.

Speaking from day 1 of his side's camp on the Central Coast, Barba said that the Sharks need to get back to what worked for them early in the season which is what they can control.

"I think we've jst been down on what we can do," said Barba.

"I think we got ahead of ourselves a little bit there and focused on the big picture rather than taking it week by week."

Barba was excited by heading up to the Coast and said it would be a chance for the boys to clear their heads heading into the final three rounds of the regular 2016 season.

"It's nice to get away from Sydney really and freshen up a little bit.

"It's something different to what we've been used to and when you get stuck in the motions of going through the same thing every week a little break from Sydney should give the boys a little rest."

Watch Barba's interview on the Souths challenge and his personal development playing on Sharks TV now.
