An 18-12 loss to the Raiders was a setback for the NYC Sharks however they have a perfect opportunity to bounce straight back against a quality opponent when they tackle the Dragons in a round 23 match this weekend.
The young Sharks endured a tough day at the office against a committed opponent in going down to the Canberra side, but after a season in which they have defied many good judges to sit firmly inside the top eight with four rounds remaining, John Morris’s team will be intent on responding in a positive fashion on Saturday afternoon.
Also in the Sharks favour Morris has been able to maintain some consistency with his team, limiting the changes for the Dragons game.
Highly rated back rower Jayden Walker should be better with two games under his belt after a long layoff, while impact player Jesse Savage returns on the interchange bench following two matches out due to injury.
The Sharks v Dragons NYC match is scheduled for a 5.15pm kick off at Jubilee Oval on Saturday.
