Sharks, Blues & Jillaroos player Ruan Sims spoke with Sterlo earlier in the week to discuss to role of 'Women in League', as the NRL celebrated the many roles and impacts of females across the game.

Speaking of the existing - and potential pathways - for women's league, Sims said he's hopeful to see all clubs push to promote female involvement in the sport.

"It's something that I'd love to see happening in the future," Sims said.

"It's something that definitely can't be discounted ... I know that the Sharks, they're on board, we've got a Nines team together, and we've got a schedule fixtured for the 27th of August."
