Sharks halfback Chad Townsend spoke with Sharks TV on Thursday at the Club's Women in League luncheon, talking of the threat the third-placed Raiders pose this weekend.

Heading into the clash off the back of a draw with the Titans on Monday night, Townsend affirmed the side hasn't lost any momentum heading into the match with Canberra.

"The confidence is still there, definitely ... It's going to be no different this weekend against Canberra," Townsend said.

"They've been playing some outstanding footy the last couple of weeks, they've probably gone a bit under the radar.

"They put some points on against Souths last weekend ... for us it's about focussing on our defence... Our attack will come (from the back of that)."
