While an injury cloud hovers over Sharks prop Andrew Fifita, Coach Shane Flanagan has still named the NSW Origin prop for the clash against Canberra on Saturday.

Fifita was seen hobbling after the draw with the Titans, however with Tuesday team list deadlines and scans yet to determine the extent on the injury, Fifita has been chosen in his usual number eight jersey for the game at Southern Cross Group Stadium this weekend.

Otherwise the Sharks came through the Monday night match without any other injury concerns but with some doubt around the status of James Maloney.

The Sharks five eighth was charged with grade two dangerous contact for a tackle on Konrad Hurrell, with the club having until midday tomorrow to decide whether or not to contest the charge at a judiciary hearing.

Maloney would stand to miss two games with an early plea, three should be contest the charge and fail to have it dismissed.

Waiting in the wings should Maloney be ruled out would be Fa’amanu Brown, who led the way in the Newtown Jets win over the Panthers on Saturday, while Ricky Leutele has overcome his ankle problems and is available to return to action whenever he is needed.

The Sharks play the Raiders at home this weekend in Women in League round, with the game scheduled to kick off at 5.30pm at Southern Cross Group Stadium on Saturday.
