Speaking with the media on Friday morning, Sharks Coach Shane Flanagan said his side need to go to another level on the back of 14 consecutive wins, now heading into the season's back end.

Though defeating the Knights by 62 points when the sides last met in Round 10 this season, Flanagan knows Sunday's match at Southern Cross Group Stadium presents an entirely different challenge.

"I'm expecting a real tough game, exactly the same game that Newcastle presented last week to the Storm," Flanagan said.

"They've got nothing to lose ... as time's gone on, we've got ourselves together to make sure that we learn something from every game.

"We need to work really hard on what we didn't do right in those (close) games."
