Keeping the current Sharks number one out of the jersey last season, Eels fullback Michael Gordon returns to Southern Cross Group Stadium, for the first time since putting pen to paper with Parramatta midway through 2015.

Gordon – in playing alongside a regular ‘spine’ contingent including Corey Norman and Kieran Foran – has shown his wares this season, with statistics showing his renowned running game is as strong now, as ever has it been.

Consigned to the bench in Gordon’s presence last season, Ben Barba has taken full advantage of the ex-Shark moving West, producing phenomenal numbers throughout the 2016 season to date.

Nine tries from 14 appearances, with seven try assists also, Barba has been one of the main reasons behind the Sharks surge to the top of the NRL ladder.
