After a 48-point thumping of the Wentworthville Magpies last weekend the Newtown Jets this week host an in-form Warriors outfit at Henson Park on Saturday.

The Jets dominated in every facet of the game in beating the Magpies by 54-6, with a number of Sharks-contracted players standing out in the victory.

Now in the Origin period and with four Sharks selected for game two, those players currently turning out for Newtown have an opportunity to impress with a handful set to be called upon to replace the NSW representatives should they be selected again for game three of the series.

But before they think about stepping onto the NRL stage, the boys turning out for Newtown will need to be at their best against a Warriors team which has impressed in recent outings.

The Warriors snuck home by two points against the Newcastle Knights at their last start after scoring a convincing win over Wentworthville the week prior.

The Jets currently sit third, three points behind the competition-leading Warriors on the Intrust Super Premiership table, although the Newtown team has a game in hand after their round 13 match was washed out.

The Jets team, containing nine Sharks contracted players, is listed below;
