The wild Sydney saw the Newtown Jets sit out a second consecutive week with the cancellation of their round 13 match however they are back in action against the Wentworthville Magpies at Henson Park on Saturday.
After a bye in round 12 a wash-out in round 13 was probably the last thing the Jets needed but if nothing else they will be rested and refreshed for their battle with fellow finals aspirants Wentworthville.
While the Jets were looking on from the sidelines the Magpies were doing battle with the New Zealand Warriors, with the 32-20 loss suffered over in Auckland having them primed for an improved effort at Henson this weekend.
Despite having a game in hand the Jets are nicely positioned in third place on the Intrust Super Premiership ladder, with Wentworthville ninth.
The Jets have named a team without halfback Josh Cleeland however they have enough firepower in the team to get the job done on Saturday.
