A knee injury suffered by forward Matt Prior is the only concern for the Sharks ahead of their round 11 clash with the Manly Sea Eagles.
Prior came from the field in the first half of the game against Newcastle last weekend and he failed to return for a second stint, with the injury to his knee likely to keep him out of action until round 13.
Prior hasn’t been named for Saturday night’s match up with their traditional rivals the Sea Eagles and with a brace on the knee as a precaution and to assist with the healing process, he is at long odds to be fit in time to play this weekend.
The rest of the casualty ward news for the Sharks is positive, with the remaining 28-players in the full-time NRL squad fit and available for this week’s round of matches.
Mitch Brown, after missing the last two games for the Jets in the Intrust Super Premiership, has been selected at fullback for Newtown for their game with Wyong on Sunday.
Brown has battled a knee problem, with his inclusion set to be a boost to a Jets side which struggled in attack before eventually going down to Mounties at their last start.
The only other player unavailable last week, backrower Jayson Bukuya, returns for the round 11 match after missing the Knights rout due to suspension.
The Sharks had a late afternoon training session on Wednesday, were scheduled to have a day off on Thursday before the Captain’s run on Friday was to complete preparations for the Manly match on Saturday night.
There are no players in doubt from the 18 selected, with coach Shane Flanagan to make a decision as to the final make up of his side following training on Friday.
The Sharks v Manly match kicks off at 7.30pm at Southern Cross Group Stadium on Saturday.
