Last week was one that got away for a Jets team that dominated possession and field position before going down to the table-topping Mounties side.
It was a game that a lack of execution let the Jets down at vital times, however in going down by 18-12 they now need to regroup and record a victory in round 11 in a bid to stay in touch with the leading teams.
The Jets round 11 opponents are the Wyong Roos, partner club of the Sydney Roosters, in a match to be played at Morry Breen Oval on the NSW Central Coast on Sunday.
With only Matt Prior unavailable from the Sharks NRL side again a strong contingent of Cronulla-contracted players have been included in the Jets line-up, with Mitch Brown returning at fullback in a boost to the Newtown chances.
The Jets went from second to fifth on the Intrust Super Premiership ladder with the loss last weekend and in what should be an evenly-matched affair, play a Wyong Roos outfit currently just one point further adrift in sixth place.
The Jets v Roos clash is set down for a 3.00pm kick-off on Sunday.
